Is this Herpes?

I know Herpes is a very weird virus.  Some people get symptoms, some people don't.  This is what I'm feeling.

Around the beginning of April, I had this strange sensation of a warm groin and my scrotum would tingle, itch sort of, and feel sometimes like small cuts were present on and off (mainly when I was sitting).  The feeling sometimes crept up under my penis.  No sores or anything present.  Skin may have been a bit red.  I've been taking some jock itch cream and it helps.

Since that time, that feeling has sort of remained, but other symptoms have popped up.  I've had headaches here and there (this could also be stress from worrying?), my anus area would sometimes sting and burn, and starting about a few days to a week ago, my lower back/buttocks felt painful (not chronic), but like my sciatic nerve was acting up so right now, it feels down in both buttocks.

Also, the tops of my thighs experienced some weird feelings of almost electrical shock yesterday once and awhile.  No reason for it.  It would just happen.  They also feel like slightly sunburned on the top.

Finally, sometimes there's a bit of a pain towards my knees.  But it goes away quick.  I did have some joint pain in my wrist at one point.

The only thing I can think is this is Herpes?  Thanks.

Thank you for that info!

I always thought general itching (along with or not with sores, blisters, lesions) was a common trait of Herpes.

My nerve issues could very well be nerves.  I'm not sure.  There's tightness about my knees as well in like the muscle and my elbow is aching.

Again, these could all be me being nervous - I'm a person who tends to freak out.

I did get the test done.

Very common misconception about herpes, it is the lesions that cause the itchiness and discomfort. General itching in the genital area is not related to herpes.

People with herpes experience exactly the same potential ailments as those without herpes, including nerve issues.

I'm definitely getting the blood test.  This is just me trying to talk out my worries.

I just wanted to know what type of nerve and joint pain people with Herpes would experience?  Thanks.

And I thought itching around the scrotum area/under penis (in different places at different times, nothing localized) with no blisters/sores would also signal Herpes since itching/discomfort is a common sign, no?

No one with genital HSV experiences elbow pain that is directly related.

You know exactly what to do if you want to confirm your HSV status.

Regardless, these symptoms are not related to herpes.

Anyone?  The type of nerve pain you experience?  My left elbow had some joint pain today too.

Have no idea if these are Herpes symptoms, but I hear a lot of people with Herpes experience this pain...

Yes, I will get a blood test to be sure.

I haven't had sexual contact with a woman in a year's time and these just started happening.  I woke up this morning and felt some pins and needles on top of my left foot.

I've read in some places that the sciatic nerve plays a huge part of pain relating to Herpes, no?  People experience pain shooting down their legs.  I don't have that, but I've felt that tightness in my muscles I talked about and my lower back is still bothering me.  These aren't signs of it?

Thank you in advance.

Hi, none of what you mention would be due to herpes but more as you mention either constant worrying or from the strange bending. But if you want to confirm herpes then have a blood test.

Just another note: my thigh muscles towards my knees in front feel sort of tight.  My hamstrings in back feel sort of the same way.

Also, I've been checking my entire body out constantly, contorting myself in weird ways (laying down, legs up, head and back scrunched over to see anything) as well as spreading my cheeks quite a bit to see if there's anything down there, would that cause the sciatic nerve to be bothered?

Everything right now just points to Herpes - thanks.
