Is this for sure herpes?

So just over a week ago I had unprotected sex with a girl who has a large history with other men (stupid I know). Since then I have had a bit of a bad cough, and have started to experience minor flu like symptoms. I also am starting to notice when I urinate the stream comes out very weak compared to usual, I also have to push at the end to get all of the urine out and I frequently feel the need to urinate. I tested negative for chlamidya and gonorrhoea 48 hours after the exposure but am getting tested again to be more accurate. From what I have read online my symptoms seems to be like herpes? I also have noticed a small pimple like red dot at the base of my penis but it went away and to me looked to be more like an ingrown hair. Am I starting to go through a herpes outbreak? I am a 23 year old male.

It would be rare that this would be the only symptom. It's also extremely rare that someone would have lesions inside the urethra and not on the outside as well. Either way hsv is a longshot here.

Nothing you describe is a symptom of hsv. Flu symptoms would be fever, swollen groin lymph nodes and body aches...etc. this happens when painful lesions are present.

Thank you for taking the time to respond, If you don't mind I have another quick question,
My doctor said I have an inflamed urethra and gave me medication, my question, is it possible to have herpes urethritis without any other symptoms of herpes? Reason I think I have herpes is because I am having urethra issues but continue to test negative for gonorrhoea and chlamydia and during the exposure there was a lot of unprotected skin contact. I have read a lot on the web that one of the biggest causes of urethritis is due to HSV2.
Thanks again.

I am very confident this is not hsv related. I get tbe same thing. I also get tingling in tbe scrotum. I have never had someone on this forum test positive woth these symptoms. And there has been many with these types of symptoms.

Hi feelingundone, Sorry to bother you, just feeling a little Anxious as I don't meet with my doctor for a couple of days. Right now my main symptom is Tingling at the top of my penis, though there are not signs of lesions it does feel very odd that this sensation keeps coming and I tested negative for everything else. No discharge, no pain just an uncomfortable tickling feeling in the top of my penis head and urethra, It also feels a little irratated when I ejaculate, are you sure this isn't from herpes? Any suggestions?
