If it's gone then no reason to treat it.
do you have a regular partner? Have they been tested?

its type 2 and my bump are already gone and they told me that they would turn into open sores but they didnt. they looked like regular razor bumps but it was like 5 of them. but anyway they gave me acyclovir.
If the lesion culture says herpes than it's herpes. You need to make sure that they type it. If they didn't order it typed, insist that they call the lab and order a typing onto it. It really is important to know if it's hsv1 or hsv2.
Did they give you medication for herpes?

my culture in the preliminary came back positive but they haven't put it in the system as a final result. I will still take a blood test.
When you have active symptoms like this, do not trim the hair around it or pick at it or anything else. You risk contaminating everything with bacteria.
If your lesion culture is negative, be sure to follow up with a type specific herpes igg blood test to err on the side of caution.

the 1st bump occurred right in the middle of my pubic area. so it was kinda near my clitoris but not. and it did hurt and as I tried to clean around the bump, as in trimming around it, a couple days later little more bumps came up. and I guess since there grouped together they looked like herpes. and its sore. I think the doctors felt as if the bump burst on its own and made itself look like an open sore, but I was picking with it and accidentally scraped it off making it look disgusting along with the other little bumps around it. so like I said it only popped up after trimming and using cream removal. I wonder if its possible to break out in a rash from this.
Let me know what you find out. I had a similar situation and the expert doctor told me it could be an ingrown hair or a cyst. Was the bump painful? It appears that chance are it is not herpes if the bump is/was not painful. I just had a blood test. Let me know what you found out. Where did the bump occur?
