Is this herpes or just a razor rash?

hello…so I will just get straight to the point. I trimmed my pubic hairs with scissors on 3-25 and two days later this bump formed which is normal for me after I trim, shave, or use a hair removal cream. I figured it was a razor bump. then it got a tad bigger and looked clear filled. so I picked with it and clear liquid came out and I put alcohol pads on it and a&d ointment. I then used scissors again to clip around the bump and used cream to remove all my pubic hair. a couple days after that little bumps came exactly where  clipped above and below the bump. the first bump did heal and eventually looked like a healing burn wound. as I was cleaning around it I accidentally wiped off the soft skin as if it used to be a burn. and I exposed the skin and it was pink.  I decided  to just go to emergency and when told them that I got theses bumps after I shaved they told me that it looks like herpes. I haven't had any bumps until i trimmed with scissors. I usually get razor bumps after i shave. these bumps do itch and are sore. its tender on the bumps with a slight tingle feeling. I am not sure if its herpes but I am waiting on the results of my culture but does anyone have an idea of what this could be?

If it's gone then no reason to treat it.

do you have a regular partner? Have they been tested?

If the lesion culture says herpes than it's herpes. You need to make sure that they type it. If they didn't order it typed, insist that they call the lab and order a typing onto it. It really is important to know if it's hsv1 or hsv2.

Did they give you medication for herpes?

my culture in the preliminary came back positive but they haven't put it in the system as a final result. I will still take a blood test.

When you have active symptoms like this, do not trim the hair around it or pick at it or anything else. You risk contaminating everything with bacteria.

If your lesion culture is negative, be sure to follow up with a type specific herpes igg blood test to err on the side of caution.

the 1st bump occurred right in the middle of my pubic area. so it was kinda near my clitoris but not.  and it did hurt and as I tried to clean around the bump, as in trimming around it, a couple days later little more bumps came up. and I guess since there grouped together they looked like herpes. and its sore. I think the doctors felt as if the bump burst on its own and made itself look like an open sore, but I was picking with it and accidentally scraped it off making it look disgusting along with the other little bumps around it. so like I said it only popped up after trimming and using cream removal. I wonder if its possible to break out in a rash from this.

Let me know what you find out.  I had a similar situation and the expert doctor told me it could be an ingrown hair or a cyst.  Was the bump painful?  It appears that chance are it is not herpes if the bump is/was not painful.  I just had a blood test. Let me know what you found out.  Where did the bump occur?
