Is this herpes?

I made a stupid mistake and cheated on my girlfriend. Another girl gave me a blowjob (unprotected) for a couple of minutes on April 13. She sucked it pretty hard.

I washed my penis immediately after. For the next couple of days my penis felt a little weird but I did not see any bumps or discharge.

Unfortunatel on April 16th I had sex with my girlfriend (I used a condom).

On April 21st my girlfriend call me scared because she found a scab/lump inside her labia minor (near the bottom of her vagina). The bump/blister was green, black and yellow. Im guessing that might have been a scab. There were a few bumps/blisters on the labia majora but they were far apart from each other. (not clustered)

It was one bump so she went to the hospital on April 22. The doctor said it looked like a bartholin cyst. He took a swab for herpes just to be safe. He gave her antibiotics.

The next couple of days she felt awful. She got a fever; it hurt for her to move. She had to take a lot of sitz baths to help soothe the area.

She set up a meeting with the OBGYN. On April 28th my girlfriend went to see the OBGYN and the doctor said she thinks it is herpes. The OBGYN called the hospital to get the culture. The reults came back negative.

The OBGYN wants to see her in 2 weeks.

Right now I feel awful. I am puzzled, confused and feel like I hurt someone so close to me because of a stupid mistake.

Please help me to understand what might be going on.

Combine the tests with the very very very low chance you contracted hsv1 and and even lower chance you gave it to her through protected sex.... I would say all is well.

Is it safe to say my girlfriend does not have HSV-1 or HSV-2 due to a negative PRC swab and negative IGG test?

I really wouldn't be overly concerned.

My girlfriend saw the OBGYN today for her results. She did a IGG and IGM blood test. The results came back negative for HSV-1 and HSV-2 antibodies. She was also negative for her PCR swab from before.

The doctor said I don't need to test for herpes. However she asked my girlfriend to test one more time (in about  a month).

We both feel a bit relieved...this has been really stressful. Everything looks ok...should we still be worried?

If it is a primary outbreak with fever and all I would say she was recently infected. That being said I agree with life360 that your condom protected sex was safe if the condom stayed on the whole time. It would be a long shot you were infected by the bj. Then giving it to your girlfriend through condom protected sex is another long shot (to put it mildly)
I think it is an infection of another kind like staff.
I would get tested asap. It's to early to know if you were infected by the oral sex. Again, I highly doubt it. That being said I would test now to see if  have a long standing oral hsv1 infection you didn't know about or hsv2. Then if you feel the need you can test again at twelve weeks from the exposure.  If you test now and it's all negative and your girlfriend doesn't have hsv the I wouldn't test again as your on time oral exposure was so little risk especially since you have had no symptoms.  Newly acquired hsv1 genital infections most always  have a classic outbreak.

Its been 17 days since I got the bj from the "the other girl". When should I get tested?

Do you think she could have contracted herpes maybe a long time ago (previous relationship? ,etc) and it surfaced now because she was stressed from exams, work, etc.

I heard that it can lay dormant. For weeks, years, months.

The last time we got tested - last May. We were both fine.

Yes. if the sores developed  after the bath it may very well be as could have changed her skins pH leading to fungal infections.

From what I know I don't have oral herpes from childhood. I have never seen any outbreak on my lips or in my mouth.

I forgot to mention that on April 21st I ran her a bath because she was not feeling well. I put essential oils into the bath. Could that have irritated or started this?

oral herpes can be spread from oral sex but if you dont have oral herpes from childhood and you did not then you can rule that out. The yellow indicates puss inside so its most likely an infection, something like staph.

Hi, since you used a condom its highly unlikely its herpes as if you were infected any herpes would be on your penis shaft. Sounds more like a  fistula which is the result from an injury. But the others that your mentioning could be fungal related. Did you have oral sex with her as the fever is a bit concerning.
