Itch - HSV-1 questions

Four days ago, my girlfriend, who had a cold sore (though it was about 2 days before it cleared up entirely) briefly had my penis in her mouth. We were drunk, which is the only excuse, though not a good one, I can give for this mistake. Since then I've been going crazy. I've been itchy in the areas between my thighs and my scrotum. This isn't abnormal for me, as I am hairy, and the itch is mild at worst, but obviously this has made me worry. As I've worried, I've scratched. Perhaps this is just my skewed perception, but I'm starting to think it's getting worse. Also, I noticed a small pimple in the crease between my very upper thigh and my pubic area. It doesn't hurt or itch. I should also say that the skin that is itching is neither red nor painful. All of that said, I'm really, really worrying that I contracted HSV-1 in my genital area. And to be honest, I'm having a hard time coming to terms with that, if that is indeed the case. I'm driving myself crazy with worry at the moment. What is the likelihood that I have been infected? What should I do?

Most probably you already have HSV1, but don't know it. 80% of the population will have the virus at some point of their lives.
If you do have HSV1, the likelihood of contracting it genitally is very very low.

Besides, a brief insertion of the penis in the month should not be enough to transmit it. The virus requires to be massaged into the skin. So the chances are low, don't worry about it.

you and your partner can't make educated decisions about what precautions to take in your relationship until you know who has what. You'll need to be tested for herpes to know your full status. If your gf has never been tested for hsv2, she needs to cover that base too.
