Thanks. That is a "direct" answer that is sometimes hard to get.
You are quite responsive for some 108 yrs old.
I am sorry for being so OCD. I am trying hard to get better and again, thank you!
if it was, you'd have lesions within a day or two afterwards.
Grace, I understand. I was just seeking clarity on what was considered a prodrome... I didn't know if burning/hotness was considered prodrome or not. That's all I was asking. Is this a prodrome?
you've already spoken with Dr Hook about this. he gave you terrific advice. really not much else we can add at this point.
hotness in the groin area is usually jock itch if anything. Honestly not everything is herpes.
grace
Petal, so are both burning and itching both considered prodromes and therefore would be followed by lesions within days. Like I may have mentioned earlier, last week my testicles felt hot and this week my penis foreskin. No lesions though...
Thanks.
"Does this just go away in time or what?" No idea as it's not herpes related.
See your doctor in regards to your OCD at this point.
Petal, thanks for your reply. Does this just go away in time or what? It has really taken a toll on me and I don't know how to make it stop. I know I have OCD - in a BIG way.
I was negative IGG around 9 weeks and had a bump to the left of my scrotum - in the hairline about 6 weeks post exposure (gf had an ob and we didn't know what it was). I have never noticed a bump on me before or since. I had it cultured and it was negative; however I don't know if there was alot of any fluid to culture but I was at the doctor within 18 hours of noticing. Is 6 weeks a long time for an initial bump to occur?
All thoughts appreciated.
Thanks.
I'd have to agree that this is anxiety driven. Indeed, any prodrome would be followed by lesions about 2 days or so later.
