Just found out

hi i had a slight rash last week then the next day it turned into a blister bump,i went to the dr on Monday the 21 and showed it to him and he did a culture they called me to day and told me its herpes simplex virus and that it could lie inside dormannt and come out during times of stress which i am in major anxiety im going off my xanax per dr,anyways this herpes bump ios located right in the upper crack of my butt...how embarrising..the dr prescribed valtrex but im so afraid of meds and im afraid to take it its 1000. mg 2 timess aday HUGE pills for 7 days and then they told me it wont cure it,My eyes have been blurry and red (i do have allerigies and im wondering if going off my xanx could be causing it) but im having vision trouble would that have anything to do with herpes,I know nothing about it,,,and my nurse said if im afraid of the med i dont have to take it,but im so afraid i dont now what might happen if i dont take it,i read you could have complications from herpes.........Please someone out there that knows about it fill me in,,,,,,,,Thnaks
