Just got HSV2 IGG 1.9 8 weeks after possible exposure, am I done for?

Had a couple of sexual encounters, part protected part not with a co-worker at a conference.  About a week or so after I remember seeing a red pimple like bump a couple of inches above my shaft in the pubic bone area.  Didn't trigger concern as I thought i was an irritated follicle.  Tried squeezing it but nothing came out.  Disappeared after 3-4 days, no vesicles etc.  No further thought given.   6 weeks later the "co-worker" confesses that she's HSV2 positive for a long time.  I didn't have any outbreaks etc.  I have had oral cold sores for 20 years or so.  This week I tested for HSV2 IGG and got back a positive of 1.9.  I've had unprotected sex several times with spouse in meanwhile without any signs/outbreaks etc since then, but now I'm obviously feeling done and dead.  Is there a chance of a false positive at this stage?

Just did another Igg at 10 weeks.  Score came back at 1.55...went down from 8 weeks.   2 more weeks for Western Blot...holding my breath for false positive!

There is a good chance it's a false positive. Anything less than a 3.5 is suspect. Only thing you can do is retest at 12 weeks and see if that number goes over 3.5. If it doesn't change much at that time. Then look into the western blot.

Thanks so much for your calming feedback.  I'm ordering the Western Blot tomorrow and taking it at the 12 week mark...
