Leg pain, is it herpes?

I had unprotected sex on the night of December 31. 4 weeks later I began to have sore legs, groin and buttocks with shooting pain from my buttocks down my left leg and sometimes my right. My lymph nodes in my groin don't feel swollen. I have been having this leg, buttocks and groin pain for almost a month now, and it is worst when I sit. The reason I suspect this is herpes is because I did an online search of "leg pain and unprotected sex" and herpes came up. I have had no other symptoms that would indicate herpes. Just the leg, groin and buttocks pain. I went to my doctor 5 weeks after the unprotected sex and had a herpes blood test done. I dont have the results yet but usually no call back is a negative sign where I live. If this isnt herpes what else could it be? I do a lot of sitting through out the day and recently after a 7 hour car ride I could barely walk without limping.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

I had chronic leg pain for 2 yrs and Dr's thought it was fibromialgia. I was given nerve meds to ease the pain and basically dumb the nerves. I took those for the 2 yrs it took for me to get my 1st outbreak which I was misdiagnosed again with shingles. I treated it and it went away in about 3 weeks... Low and behold 6 months later I have another outbreak in the same exact spot at before, my outer thigh. I went to see another Dr not in the ER and was told it was most likely herpes simplex (hsv2). I was devastated. Things to look for are spots that look like bug bits in a cluster (mine were itchy and painful like I was allergic to the so called bite). As soon as you see them, cover them! Large bandaid is what I use. Sealed all the way around to avoid spreading to other areas or other ppl. I also noticed when I get an out break I get headaches and feel down, low energy and flu like. It's been a month since my proper diagnosis, but almost 3 yrs since I believe I showed my 1st symptoms.
Good luck!

The likely hood this is hsv related is slim to none. Much closer to none. While leg pain can be associated with hsv, it's not realistic in the absence of lesions.
