Leg pain?

Hi! I went to the doctor Monday, we are still waiting on the results from the culture he did but he is pretty positive I have genital herpes. I'm having some pretty weird leg pain it pretty much feels like my legs are sunburned my skin all over my legs is very tender. Has anyone else experienced this? Is it related to gh?

If the outbreak is of considerable concern to warrant attending a doctor with lesions to swab, then this would be a primary outbreak and you were infected 2-10 days before the symptoms appeared.

I'm guessing oral and vaginal sex with your husband is the only sexual activity in this time frame?

A very common scenario is an infection through oral sex from your husband's oral HSV1 infection. 60% of the population carry  this virus from their youth, whether they know it or not, or experience outbreaks (cold sores on lips for example) or not.

It is also very possible that your husband brought HSV2 in the relationship (or acquired it a few years ago at least). Some people experience no or few symptoms and infection rates from male to female for HSV2 can be around 10% a year if sex occurs only during asymptomatic times.

Well he went ahead and put me on valtrex because he said it was a clear case to him.
What I actually don't understand is that I've been married almost 6 years and have only had sex with one other person besides my husband before my marriage, and have had oral sex from 2 diffrent women since I've been married. The first time being about five years ago and the second time being about a year ago and we aren't even sure if she went down on me, we were extremely drunk. My husband says he hasn't cheated on me and I belive that he hasn't recently.. If you would've told me he cheated 4 or more years ago I'd have probably believed it! So anyways I'm a little confused about that, but my dr as well as my husband dr have told me that it can be dormant for years, so I'm trying really hard not to even think about where it came from, although I would really like to know.

I have seen people report this as a symptom in addition to lesions mainly associated with a primary outbreak. You could expect this to subside reasonably soon although some antivirals once the infection is confirmed may help you get over the outbreak a little sooner than otherwise.

Sexual activity 2-10 days must have been the source if this is herpes. It could be from vaginal or oral sex.
