Likelihood of Genital Herpes transmission from Genital to Oral

Question: What is the likelihood of me transferring genital herpes to my partner by him performing oral on me if I have not had an outbreak or any symptoms of genital herpes in 7years?

Should I go on a daily valtrex to aid in protection?

Backstory:
I was diagnosed with a genital herpes outbreak in 2004.  I was pregnant, the outbreak was SO UNCOMFORTABLE, but once treated, it cleared and I never had another out break.  I also contracted HPV at the same time from the same person(now ex husband).  I have not seen any symptoms of either since.  

Years later, I'm finally moving on from that abusive relationship and I'm with a wonderful man.  We have had unprotected sex many times and now he has warts :(  

I have been terrified to tell him the truth about my past diagnosis of herpes. I have had conflicting information from 2 different Gynecologists, one told me that if I had not had an outbreak in 7 years, I should be ok.  After 5 months of being active with him without condoms(because he refused), I feel like we're in the clear on the genital herpes?

I have not let him perform oral on me.  Should I let him?

what testing did you originally have?

do you know if you have hsv1 or hsv2 genitally?

has your partner been tested to know their status?

Whether or not you are having obvious symptoms of herpes is meaningless as far as transmission to a partner.  Have you ever read the free herpes handbook by terri warren? if not, google it and give it a read to get better information about genital herpes than you seem to have gotten so far.
