Little Bumps on my lips

I recently had my lip crack open on the side of my mouth and Have been treating it with several types of chapstick like carmex, vasoline lip treatment, and neosporin lip treatment... when doing so I woke up one morning with some little bumps located on my top lip! They dont hurt ...only if I rub my teeth across them ..does that mean thats a sign of herpes? I have been sexually active but not in a while and Im pretty sure that my partners didn't have herpes... I need answers! Im kind of nervous!

Most adults have hsv1 orally whether they know it or not. It's pretty common and many of us pick it up when we are little kids too.  

These could be many things.  Lip cracks at the corners are often angular chelitis and not oral herpes but it can be due to herpes.  chelitis can be due to fungal infections or even chemicals in toothpastes, chapsticks etc.  Since this doesn't seem to be getting better and in fact seems to be getting worse - a trip to the doctor is probably the best idea to get better answers.
