Low HSV 2 Igg result after about half a year

I was tested positive in mid July 2012 for both Herpes Simplex Type 1 Igg and Herpes Simplex Type 2 Igg. Both of the reading were low. The readings were above 1.1 but below 2. It was based on the index( 1.1 positive). Although I didnt have obvious outbreak like painful ulcers at genital area, I did feel some tingling and itchiness. And, I read somewhere that low positive could be false positive. I was given any medicine to take but only some virless cream to apply on my genital. During that test, I also tested negative for HIV, hepatatis and syphilis.
As a result, I tested again in Jan 2013. This time, the reading for Herpes Simplex Type 1 Igg is high but they are on a different scale( using U/ml) ( 20: Positive) . The reading for Herpes Simplex Type 1 Igg is around 400 U/ml while Type 2 Igg is 36 U/ml. Is there a possibility for a false positive here since half a year has passed and the reading remains relatively low. and during this test, I did test negative for HIV(CMIA), Chlamydia Igg and VDRL. And, I am currently taking acyclovir with APO 800.
Fyi, I have not had any sexual activities since mid May 2012.
My questions are
1) Should I do another testing for Type 2 Igg? I am not in the states, thus I dont think biokit nor WB is available for me.
2) Should I test for other STD like HPV and gonorrhea that I did not test for?
3) I read through some other threads taht this could be false positive but they are all pretty old thread. what is the latest information regarding false positive? have they fixed it?

No, they are the same thing as what I noticed before. They are close to the opening of the glans. They are tiny and not painful. There is no discharge. no blisters. However, when it erects, they seem to flaten and becomes not visible. sigh.

so HPV will stay in my body forever and can spread even when there is no obvious symptoms? just like HSV?

I am not sure if the small bumps that had been on my glans went away. However, even if they did, they only went away some time last week(as i check my glans every day). And, these bumps look the same as the bumps I noticed before. They are white color, tiny, not painful, not very noticeable. They are clustered together, some of them form line. They are close to the opening of my glans. I dont know if they will form blisters and burst. So far, haven't seen any blisters. I am not taking any medicine at the moment.

we don't have commercially available tests to test you for hpv at this point.

i am within that age group but I am afraid that I have already had it. What should i do about it to prevent transmitting to my future partners?

because most of us have already been infected with at least 1 of the 4 types of hpv it covers by that age.
no. i didn't get gardasil shots. I believe my country only started giving gardasil shots like 2 years ago. Should I get that now? possibly, I have already had hpv in me.

I' ve never had herpes recurrences that were painless or itchless. every now and then here we get someone who has symptoms that come back as hsv+ but hard to narrow down if those symptoms were really due to herpes or just what caused those symptoms triggered viral shedding that was picked up on.
we can't cover the hpv bases very well at all. we don't have commercially available tests for hpv that properly cover that base thoroughly. 1 out of every 3 of us has hpv genitally at some point - it's even more common than herpes is genitally. did you get your gardasil shots at all?
follow up with your herpes testing - no need to torture yourself any longer than necessary thinking you have herpes. see if you can find a local herpes group who has someone educated like I am to know what your local testing options are for confirming low positives like you had initially. it's ok to have the pity party and withdraw for a little bit but don't let it consume you.

it's well worth confirming false positives since the rate of false positives can be as high as 50%. knowing what you have for sure is helpful so you can take steps with a partner to reduce transmission. would be a shame if you really didn't have hsv2, got involved with a partner who did have it and ended up getting it needlessly.

correct - a fungus/yeast causes jock itch. not unusual for an antifungal pill to not fully take care of the problem. continue to follow up on your symptoms with your provider.
repeat the first testing you had done since I can't really recommend any confirmatory testing where you live. another option is seek out a herpes support group in your area and ask them for suggestions for confirmatory testing.

no that test only tests for syphilis.
usually itching is due to jock itch.
the acyclovir doesn't help to heal the skin faster. It stops the herpes from being active as long as it would've been without antivirals and then you wait for the body to complete the healing process. Just like if you get a paper cut on your finger, it has to take its time to heal - same thing.

Well, I went to the doctor, he told me VDRL test that he did for me tested for gonorrhea.as well. Is that true?

herpes lesions won't heal while you are on the acyclovir. acyclovir only disrupts the viral replication cycle, you have to wait for the skin to finish healing if indeed it's herpes related.

I have only taken acyclovir since about 5 days ago, 5 tablets a day or every 5 hours or so. Two more days left, so I guess I will finish them and go to take the first test again in a week.

I did the 2nd test via another doctor. Aren't they the same IGG test that differentiate type 1 and type 2? How different are these 2 tests? What are their names?

the 2nd test you had done is one we don't recommend. it seems to return with a very high false positive rate. repeat your herpes testing with the same test you had the first time if you can.
I'd stop all acyclovir too.
