Made Out with Someone with an Active Cold Sore

Thanks for taking the time to read my post. So basically I made out with someone with an active cold sore but didn't realize he had it till after as he was wearing cover-up. I've been putting abreva around my mouth because I think it will help, I don't know if it will. I'm also considering going to the doctor to maybe get some valtrex. Any insight would be really helpful.

If you had a herpes transmission from this encounter valtrex and abreva won't help you.  The fact is the act is what leads to transmission and nothing on the skin above will kill the virus on your nerves.  So at this point if you have a risk be seen for symptoms within 24-48hrs for a proper work up.
