Many different results

I have a couple of questions that my doctor cant seem to answer. I was just tested today blood and culture, I had what I thought to be a terrible yeast infection that I tried to treat w/ a 1-day OTC medicine, it seemed to get worse ont he outside of my vagina so I went to the doctor. I have previously had 4- HSV test,
1st - 02/07 HSV1- Negative                      2nd- 02/08 HSV1-Negative
                 HSV2-Negative                                       HSV2-Positve (no # values)

  3rd-04/08 HSV2- .94                              4th - 05/08 HSV1- 1.24
                                                                              HSV2- <.90
The doctor couldnt see any yeast because there was so much monistat up there she couldn't get anything, when I told her I was concerned because this was the closest thing I have experienced to an outbreak she couldnt believe that I had assumed that "her" positive results were wrong and that I am most defiently infected w/HSV2. I asked her if she would help me get a western blot to sort this out once and for all and she said that test is not used for HSV...ughhh, she did agree to culture the area that was the most irritated and she redid the blood test, of course it will report only positive and negative so this may only add more confusion to the situation. My question is, she gave me valtrex. Should I start taking it now? If I can figure out how to get a western blot will it affect the results? My pain isnt horiible but I sure would like to get things back to normal.

Did they test you for yeast and bacterial infections vaginally too?

cuts in the skin can be due to lack of estrogen in the skin too. topical estrogen can help with that. sometimes providers completely overlook that if you are young thinking that it's only an issue in post menopausal women.  don't hesitate to go for a 2nd opinion elsewhere too .

I got my results today, my culture was negative and my blood work was also negative for HSV1 & HSV2. Things down below are feeling a bit better but it is still very red and last night I noticed a few what looks like paper cuts about 1" long and they were bleeding a bit. The doctor said she had no idea what was going on with me. I'm wondering should I pursue the Western Blot?

You had 1 positive result and 3 negative results. odds are that you really don't have hsv2 but hopefully the culture you had done gives you better answers too.
