Yes, it decreases the risk of transmission.
I can't believe people still want to breed given the dire circumstances in the world. Maybe you're not in the U.S., though. The economy is tanking, folks. We're hitting peak oil (gas is now 4$ a gallon here), and the Iraq occuation is bankrupting us. Creating more spawn really seems like the last thing you'd want to do. The party's been over for a while, and there ain't no party favors left.
So if you're taking valtrex..if u have unprotected sex itll help prevent it from spreading right. cause i wanna have kids...
hi there waring. thanks for the info as always. i found the link after doing a basic search on valtrex no condom. it was the second page that popped up.
The reason you need to stay on Valtrex daily is because it gets flushed out of your system within 24 hours, which is why you take 1 daily. If you are taking it to protect a partner who is HSV-negative, I would make an effort not to miss any. If you miss 1-2 days, it's probably fine, but I wouldn't go long stretches without using it, otherwise you aren't getting any effect.
I use acyclovir just because it's much cheaper than the others. But you have to take it 2x a day for suppressive effect, not once daily.
Praying, thanks for posting the link. Very interesting. It's a nice summary of the medication. Can I ask how you found it? :)
check this out on antivirals. it made me feel so much better.

How long does valtrex stay in your system? Say you miss dosage for 2 days... do the meds linger in system for any amount of time? Thanks!

Famvir and acyclovir work the same as Valtrex. Different dosages, though. The cheapest one is ayclovir.
