If a man performed unprotected oral sex on another man, then 3-4 months later the first man performs oral sex again on another guy, what are the chances he contracted oral herpes from first encounter, had no outbreaks and transmitted herpes to the second guy he performed oral sex on?

Also, I know that oral sex is low risk, if not no risk for herpes, right? Why is that?

we really don't have stats for that.

contracting hsv2 orally is low risk in general because to greatly simplify it, hsv2 doesn't 'like" the oral area.

I'm sorry, but the question I asked was why is oral sex a low risk for the person on the receiving end?

So, if contracting hsv2 orally is low risk, then the most common type of herpes to get from receiving oral sex is hsv1, right?
