My girlfriend has reoccuring tiny blisters on her buttox followed by sever flu symptoms every 6 months

by badram, Nov 09, 2009 12:56PM
About every six months or so my girlfriend gets a patch of 4 - 8 tiny blisters on the back or her thigh. They look similar to ant bites. They blister up for about 3-4 days, pop and heal very slowly. She has very little to no itching around them. No heat or swelling in the area. Once they pop they just scab over and heal. Each time this occurs she begins to have general muscle pains thought her body. Within a week of the tiny blisters she comes down with a very bad respiratory type cold. Initially she always thinks it is just allergies; however, it gets very severe and keeps her in bed for two to three days. The fever period is during the second or third day of the cold symptoms. Once the fever breaks and she manages through the cold I would say two weeks or more have passed. Could there be a connection between the blisters and the respiratory problem?  Also, when we began dating 1.5 years ago she mentioned that when severely stressed on occasion she would get a large rash that covered her chest. I have not seen this rash in 1.5 years myself.

PS: She is a heavy smoker, very athletic and not overweight.

Sincerly,
Rr

She needs to go and be seen and get this further evaluated. If she's never been tested for herpes ( since I assume this is on your mind since you are posting here ), she can get a type specific herpes igg blood test done to know her status.
