My partner has HSV-2

Can we have kids if my partner has an std (HsV-2)? I am female, and currently not infected, buy my partner is.

I will gladly take a look at his blood work to make sure that he was properly tested and doesn't need further testing if you can get his blood test results to post here - e.g. hsv1 igg 4.3 and hsv2 igg 4.9 or whatever they are.

I googled it and couldn't find anything on it that's why I posted my question here. He has never had a break out, but tested positive a few years ago. He doesn't take any medications for it. I'll see if I can find this handbook. Thanks!
