Trying to get a bump for an answer, I'm over ten weeks since this exposure. I'm waiting until the 12 week mark to follow up with another IgG test. Should I be tested for both HSV-1 and HSV-2? Will a higher HSV-1 IgG value mean I could have been exposed to HSV-1 in this encounter as well?
You already know you have hsv1 so no need to keep testing for it. A change in that igg result would be meaningless.
You've done a heck of a lot of testing and none of it has any answers for you from this encounter. At this point I'd wait until 4 months post encounter, follow up on all std testing then and repeat your herpes igg blood test then. Unless you have a lesion in the genital area that is very painful, don't continue to go back again and again to providers unless you really need the peace of mind.
The odds of contracting hsv2 from a one time encounter is very low in general if that helps with your anxiety at all about this.
