My son was playing wit my "adult toys"

Ok, I found out about a 2 months ago I am HSV 2 positive. I am now stressing out because my 8 year old son was in his room and I found him wit my "adult toys" down his pants. I am now freaking out what if I didn't clean it correctly and now he is infected as well?

Well about a week ago he said that his penis hurt and I asked him to show it to me. He had something that looked kind of likea shiny rash on the tip of his penis. I almost died! I asked him what happened and he said he didn't know. I asked if maybe he had gotten his penis stuck in his zipper again, he said he may have ( I don't remmeber what it looked like the last itme it had happened). I am terrified that he is now infected and have no clue what to do. If i take him to the doctor and he does test positive they have to report it and if I lost my son because of this I would die. Also no one but my son's father and I know about my status. I would never forgive myself if I got him infected.

So my question is what are the odds of him being infected? What should I do next? I am so scared.

no you won't transmit your herpes like that either.

the virus is easily killed with soap and water. Just washing your hands after using the bathroom is all you have to do for non-sexual contact. Even if you forget to wash your hands, it's really not a big issue either.

Thank you again for giving me a little piece of mind. I do have one additional question that I forgot to ask if by some chance before I found out I was infected if while helping him use the toilet I touched his penis could I have infected him this way?

Sorry to be such a pain but I am still trying to figure all this out and if I have infected my son I would be heartbroken.

Your son isn't going to contract your hsv2 from your toys.

I'm guessing that if he's putting sex toys down his britches that he has a general interest in his male anatomy at this  point and probably has a rash from touching himself frequently :)
