Need Herpes Information!

I just found out I had herpes a couple of days ago.I'm married and I contracted herpes because my husband had a cold sore on lip when he performed oral sex. I went to a health clinic to get dignosed because I do not have enough money for a hospital trip. The doctor rushed me out before I was able to ask important questions. I have had severe pain over the last couple of days. I can't do anything I used to. I just wanna know if there are some home remedies that I could try to take away the pain. Or are there any inexpensive herpes medications? How long does one outbreak last? What are the stages of the outbreak? How can I prevent my husband from getting it? I really just want to get past this. I hate being stuck in a bed all day because I can barely walk. PLEASE SOMEONE HELP ME

I'm sorry to hear you're having such a hard time, there are some things you can do to ease the discomfort, over the counter painkillers should help as well as laying in a nice warm bath and when you need to urinate if you can pour warm water over the area it will dilute the urine and cause less stinging or actually do it in the bath just before getting out ..... I have also heard that a used tea bag can be quite soothing when placed on the lesions,if this is your first outbreak it's unlikely that further ones will be this bad the initial outbreak is usually the worst and may last about a week before backing off,you could also ask your Doctor to put you on Suppressive Therpay Valtrex or Acyclovir which will help to lessen your outbreaks,as for passing it to your husband's genitals thats unlikley since he already has it orally and Oral HSV1 doesn't generally change it's site once it's established itself at it's preferred site .....
