Need Interpretation

Hi Doc and Group,
My results are...
HSV1 IgG    6.10
HSV2 IgG    1.70
Herpes subtype (HSV1, HSV2) Real Time PCR (NEGATIVE)

what do you think?

your results are technically positive for both. you also have to take in the fact that you have hsv 1-which can make low false positives for hsv2 also that your hsv2 result is under 3.5(some even say 3.0 should be the cut off) it needs further conformation "key words" with another test! did you have a symptom/lesion for your doc to do a pcr? they have to be done 2/in 24hrs of sypmtom/lesion or it will be a false negative. Get further conformation testing especially w/o symptoms im assuming

You need to confirm your hsv2 result with further testing since it's a low positive.  You can do this with a herpes WB blood test or a biokit.

if you have a regular partner, they should be tested too.
