Need to verify his results-Starting new relationship

In the case of 1.08?  should the result have a positive or negative sign (arrow pointing to the left) in front of  1.08?  should it be a 0.00-0.90 index?
HSV Type 2-Specific Ab, IgG
HSV 2 IgG, Type Spec 1.08   0.00-0.90 index

Thank you!

Do those numbers look legit? meaning, no mistakes?  I just don't want to take chances, I'm too old for that.

A person with that level of antibody is not very likely to be truly positive, if the testing was done more than 3 months after his/her last sexual encounter. It's what's considered an equivocal result.

If the person hasn't had sex in 3 months, a western blot test would be the only way to truly confirm. If they have had sex recently, wait until 3 months have passed and repeat the regular testing.
