Needs some guidance

Hey there, For about the past two weeks I have been itching in different areas of my body, and some areas that are worse will have a little bump, but there aren't many of them. Well today i noticed that my penis had some inflamed areas and little bumps just on the top of my shaft, and some little red dots on the head that were tender to the touch. Worried, i got in the shower and cleaned really well, then put some acne medication on my penis and it seemed to help. The thought of herpes crossed my mind, but would I be itching all over, and would acne meds help it? I am a college football player, and currently in the middle of spring training so it could possibly be something caused by that. I just need someone with some knowledge on this subject... Thank you.

Chances are this isn't herpes.  It doesn't respond to acne meds.  Your skin wouldn't itch all over.  Go to your provider and have them check the bumps out.  Chances are the skin itchy is the sweat and dry skin.  Your penis region itchy could be jock itch.  Bumps could literally be anything.
