Neg HSV2 igg at 22 weeks
Last sexual encounter April. Last sex with this person after one year relationship. Will not contact him. Have had red vagina, no sores, since June. No itch. Just fells irritated and scratchy. Some areas are redder than others but don't appear as sores. No blisters. Area around urethral opening is very red.Tested for gon and chlamydia in June, negative. Had a swab of a pimple like area on buttock at that visit also, negative, though it was a very small area and I'm sure not a good sample. Had HSV 1 & 2 igg in July. Type 1 was 3.13. Type 2 <.91. Gave me script for Valtrex anyway. Took it for two, three day periods. No change in redness. Returned to provider and asked for suppressive script to see if long term would help. Started Acyclovir 400mg 2x daily on August 7th. No change in symptoms. Still no itch. Just red. 2nd igg had just HSV2, negative <.91. This was at 22 weeks. Made appointment with gynecologist for next week. My concerns are cloudy urine intermittently. Does not burn to pee and has not burned since this all started. Also, back and leg pain. Both at times but mostly left leg. Unlike anything I have ever felt. Have had horrible cramps in ankles and feet. These started in July. I know herpes can present differently in people so am very concerned. Wouldn't be so concerned if it wasn't for back and leg pain. Thought on this would be appreciated. Why am I not making antibodies if this is H? What else would cause back and leg pain in a person with no previous issues? Also, have never had vaginal issues so this seems suspect. Too many indicators to ignore.
Right now I started treating myself with cortisone in the area that keeps itching!! It's like one section! I think BV is gone... Atleast I hope!!! Anyway, i don't feel 100% that area is still all itchy! But the cream is working, kinda, so far it has. I keep getting scared that the infections are going to come back!!! I hope that this itching finally goes away!!
Sorry I missed this post. Are you still having this issue? My doc treated me with Cortisone and Premarin. I have since stopped all ointments and quit looking down there. It helps to leave it alone completely. I am not 100% but better. I am still concerned though.
OMG sunny I'm starting to get what you have!!! My skin is really really red and irritated!!! It hurts quite a bit if I touch it but there is no open wound!!! It's just red and irritated!!!! Omg I want it to go away!!! Haven't I been through enough!!!!

Nope never heard of it! I'm finally feeling normal!!!!! Right now at this moment im not having any problems YEY!!!! The antibiotics are working!!! Hehehe
has anyone ever tried light therapy for redness? I've heard LED therapy can be helpful for healing.
I don't think herpes presents itself as a cut? I'm pretty sure its like blisters varying in size that burst and ooze out and then scab over and heal. I honestly doubt anything u have is an std I'm not a doctor or anything but trust me I've been obsessing over my situation and reading every type of literature on every std for the past month and a half lol
Yeah but I'm afraid that the cut I had under my clitoris hood and the pain in clitoros was herpes and everything else was something else...
I mean from all the research and everything everyones said herpes symptoms don't go on the extent yours have. Like grace says its flare ups and then it goes away. Some people get one flare up then never again. so I mean it has to be something else.
Yeah I've thought about that... And I've been taking st johns wort tea everyday for depression anxiety and stress, it has really helped but the stuff I'm going through has been diagnosed, atleast some of it, and even before I was stressing out I had huge problems!!! Like when i first had the yeast infection I didn't stress at all I just treated it, it wasn't until two months of treating it did I get a little worried then when I ignored it I started burning REALLY REALY badly where I couldn't pee!!! But all i saw was red and inflammation, still I didn't think it was an STD, not until I saw a taste bud looking bump, and my dr told me that he had no doubt that the bump was herpes. But the swab was neg and my blood work was neg for hsv2. Then I started freaking out about ghsv1! And well yeah that's where I'm at...
Do you think maybe some of it is bc u stress about It non stop and never stop thinking about it that your mind is making u sick? Look it up I've read all about it its called being psychosomatic - its like when people think they have cancer for years and years no matter what any doctor tells them and then 10 yrs down the line they find the person dead in their bed and they died from anxiety and stress over having a disease they never had.
Haha yeah that's the problem!! I have already spent hundreds all together from Drs appts, clinics, urgent care, ER... I'm not willing to spend more!! But I do feel better just getting new symptoms when I get rid of other symptoms!
Hummm... I'm going to ask my dr about that!!! Because there are parts of my skin down there that's like really thin!!! I dont know if it ls hereditary but my family has low estrogen problems... Except my grandma who had 12 children!!!
Atrophic vaginitis is what he's treating me for. Hmmmm. Think I will do another test though he told me not to. Said "you'll just test til you get a false positive". still confused. Want another opinion.
I wish it was that easy, but it's not... Plus at least for me, I keep having different symptoms, when one thing seems to be fixed another problem occurs! Oh idk about sunny but I had a horrible dr who was only diagnosing be my symptom and never ran tests, then I told him I think it's herpes, and he said "oh yes I'm positive it's herpes" at the time I had a little taste bud looking bump.

Oh and have you taken another blood test? Im thinking since my hsv2 was neg I shld b fine... I've heard of more fals pos then false neg...

I mean have u ever heard of someone going through anything like this tho? Its not right. U need to demand a diagnosis go to a good hospital and tell them you're not leaving until they tell u what is wrong and treat it so u can get on with your life and live normal without stress. Its not fair to live that way at all.

I know!!!! It's horrible!!! But I think mine lasted so long because for two months I was self treating a yeast infection. Altho now... Who knows what it could me!!! I'm still thinking hormones!!!!
Not exactly normal but much better. The bumps inside my lip are gone right now. I was very stressed and hope that was all they were or maybe I had some respiratory thing. My biopsy was for cancer. Nothing found thankfully. I'm just hanging in there. Let us know how your appt goes Wed. Good luck girl!
Hey!! Are you feeling back to normAl?!? I wish I was!! No I have not done anymore blood tests, but my OBGYN gave me a routine blood work, and one think they put my blood in looked like tge one they did when I had my herpes blood work done! I see my OBGYN on wed so I'll ask her if she had a herpes blood test done on me.

Biopsies were negative. Seeing some improvement with cortisone and Premarin creams but it is slow going. Still not sure. I am tempted to do another blood test. Did you ever retest after your negative? Having some oral symptoms now. Bumpy inside bottom lip with sore throat twice in past month. No open areas, just bumpy. I did not perform oral sex on my ex for several months prior to my other symptoms. Nothing on my lips either. And my left ear ached. Everything freaks me out.
