Nervous/Scared Please Help

Hi,

So i had sex with a sex worker about 7 weeks ago. I had protected vaginal and protected oral (she performed on me). I didn't perform any oral on her or kiss her or anything. The vaginal was protected and literally for less than 2 minutes. I was very paranoid even before the act, I don't know why I went through with it. It was actually the first time I was having sex, maybe that's why. Following this, I started having frequent urination (clear urine for a couple of days) and had groin pain. Then I started just searching the web for different stds and felt like I had everything I read. Everything from HIV to syphillis to scabies to Herpes.

I did however have a sore throat, frequent urination, mucous in the neck. There was also a mild pain in the groin. I took amoxicillin for about a week and the pains seemed to have went away. However I did develop a white coating on tongue (didn't look at all like yeast infection) and mild diarrhea while taking the medicine and for a couple of days after, but most pains were gone and I was a bit relaxed. Then I started looking up the symptoms and all the pains came back. I started getting hot/cold flashes, hand trembles, chills, sweaty palms. I might even have lost a couple of lbs due to the stress.

It is about 7 weeks now, my weight seems to be back to normal. I am eating totally fine, my energy level is fine, there is not fatigue. The only thing is that I have a back pain, pain in the legs, groin pain. I feel like there is itching all over but then again I don't know because I read somewhere that itching is one of the symptoms so I think I have it. I feel like I have a dry throat a lot and fullness in my throat (gas?). I don't know.

I don't recall getting any blisters, sores on the genital areas. I just feel like my pubic hair inside the thighs hurt sometimes (could be bacteria or fungus?) I don't know. Please advise?  I mean I know that I did use a condom and it's considered low risk, but please advise what it could be or am I just being paranoid as it was the first time?

you need to go and be seen again for further evaluation.

Thank you for the response.  Just one loss question. I noticed that my hair has become thin in the past couple of weeks and it kind of breaks (not in patches), singles when I shower and stuff.  Another thing is that I feel my veins started showing. Is it cuz that I dropped some weight in the past couple of weeks and now gaining it back? Could all these be symptoms of stress.  Sorry to be all paranoid but these are just some of the things I noticed.

Thanks

no real reason to think this is herpes at all. you aren't having obvious lesions and odds are all of this is from something else.

Hi grace,

I had a question.  I feel like there are phases when I m better and when I feel bad.  Like right now I feel fine.  Back pain is going away and thigh pain, butt pain is going away.   Just wanted to ask could it be a recurrence? I mean I haven't had the real symptoms of herpes or any other std. But still these weird indications.  And frequent urination comes n goes? Throat feels dry most of the time.  Could it be just some kind of bacterial infection because it's been 7 weeks since the exposure.  I feel fine but not really 100%.

anxiety can do a lot to a person!

we recommend protected sexual contact because it works! You were at minimal risk for std's and no reason to think your symptoms were ever std related.

Sorry! Just very nervous/anxious.  Any thing you would know about the groin pain or pain in knees or legs/back.  Can that be just something totally different?

nothing you describe sounds like herpes. maybe anxiety/guilt is taking over you.
unless you get obvious symptoms (blisters, sores), no reason to think you got herpes.
