tips and feet. I have not, to my knowledge, had any outbreaks. I do not experience pain urinating, I do not see or feel any blisters, nor do I have any "flu
" like symptoms associated with herpes. Other than the malaise experienced because of the ongoing symptoms I feel better than ever.
I am wondering if anyone can shed light on my weird symptoms. I have not been able to find anyone or any posting that mentions anything about symptoms lasting for months without outbreaks.
I tried valtrex and felt no relief, I have been taking Lysine of an on for the past few months. I increase Vitamin C and Zinc. I also am taking GABA for nervous system relief and Glutithione.
Thanking anyone in advance who might have advice or help.
Tingling alone in the absence of lesions is not a herpes symptom. Please read Dr. H's post in regards to tingling (scroll to his 2nd post on this thread)
I was, in fact, diagnosed with HSV 2 (1.75) through antibody blood test. I had an "equivocal" result for HSV 1 but I do not remember what the exact number was.
Equivocal is considered negative if enough time as passed post exposure. Your HSV2 IgG result is a low positive, and needs confirmatory testing. You don't know for certain you even have herpes. You can read two posts by Dr. Handsfield regarding false positives here:
your hsv2 is a low positive and needs further confirmatory testing done. I'd stop all herpes antivirals for a month and retest , preferably with the herpes WB if you can get it ordered by your provider.
herpes will not cause the all over body symptoms you have. You need to be following up on this with a neurologist at this point for proper evaluation.
Were you able to get any helful info / treatment for this? I am experiencing the same symptoms intermittantly. -I also have some dizziness and "hot spot
