Oral HSV 1

Hi, i have a question, a few days ago i had a little blister in my mouth from the inside of my lip in the right side. It lasted a few days and two days ago it was not there anymore so this morning i noticed two little blisters inside my mouth again, from the inside of my lip this time in the left side. Is that possible that herpes 1 will attack again nonstop after a recent outbreak? also it is possible that oral herpes can attack one side of my mouth and in the second outbreak it will attack the other side of the mouth? i thought that herpes only attack one side but it does not jump to the other side. another thing is that all my outbreaks happens inside of my mouth, always in the inside lip on the mouth.

Thanks for the help.

not many folks have hsv2 orally. of those who do, on average it hardly sheds at all. even if she was one of the small percent who have hsv2 orally, it's not likely you would've contracted it from her performing oral sex on you.

Thanks for your fast response grace, so you are saying that i should not worry about hsv2 orally, what about genitally, since she performed oral sex to me for about a month, which was the time that we were together as boyfriend and girlfriend. should i also worry about hsv2 genitally from her performing oral sex to me or i shouldn't worry about hsv2 since i never had penetration. she never had any symptoms of hsv2 orally or genitally and she had it for almost 5 years, based on what she told me.

Thank for your help grace.

hard to tell if these are canker sores or herpes going on. if you are concerned, see your provider when you have symptoms.

no reason to suspect hsv2 orally either.

Thanks for helping me with info. yeah, i was diagnose 3 years ago with hsv1 so that is why i was concern because first my outbreak was in the right side and then it jumped to the left side of the inside of the lip. so i thought that it was hsv1 and then i thought that it was hsv2 even though i did a test 3 years ago for hsv2 and it came back negative but around a year ago i had a girlfriend that she was positive for hsv2 but thank god i didnt have sex she only performed oral sex to me and she said that he never had any outbreaks either in her mouth or genitals so i was concern that maybe she passed it to me to either oral by kissing her or when she performed oral sex to me. but you said that herpes does not attack inside of the lip right only in the gums and roof of the mouth correct? but i also heard that hsv2 is hard to get it orally and it is even harder to pass it on orally such as performing oral sex or by kissing.  am i right? since it is active only 3% of a calender year?

Thanks

sorry I hit enter too soon.  Further, herpes cold sores do not manifest on the inside of the lip.  The can occur on the gums or roof of the mouth but sores that you find on the tongue or inside of the lip are canker sores and very often are confused for cold sores/fever blisters.    If you are really concerned and need to ease your worries you can get tested to see if you've been exposed to the HSV 1 or 2 , (and most of us have to HSV 1 by the time we are adults whether you actually develop cold sores or not).   Why not do an internet search for canker sores photos and see if they look like what you had.

that sounds like canker sores not herpes.  Canker sores are not contagious and not related to Herpes.  They can be painful but that is all.  They last just a few days whereas a Herpes cold sore usually lasts 10 days..
