Can a male with HSV 2 infect a female through giving oral sex?

If you have HSV on your mouth and you are having an outbreak while giving her oral yes. but oral is a lower risk

if you have genital herpes, it takes contact with your genital area to contract your genital herpes. if you don't have herpes orally, you can't infect a partner with your herpes by performing oral sex on them. make sense?

Sorry to ask another question,  what are the risks of contracting HSV2 by performing oral sex on a man with HSV 2.  Can you contract HSV orally?

You can get HSV-2 orally.  It is rare though but can happen.  If you are worried about that use a condom when having oral sex.
