Oral Herpes in Genital area

Awhile ago I was told I had Oral Herpes in the Genital area. At first it really hurt but the doctor said it would get better in about 10 days and it should not reoccur very often if ever. Now every few weeks I get this weird discharge which sometimes itches/sometimes dosent but it has all these weird whitish yellow clumps in it which I think might be skin. Is this normal? I looked on all the sites and I dont have any other symptoms like rash or lumps just this and it happens really often especially appearing 1-2 days after I have sex?
