Oral sex and Herpes

How likely is it to contract herpes from unprotected oral sex (receiving a *******)?  Is it a 100% success rate if she has herpes?  The ******* maybe lasted 5 minutes.  It was with a stripper, but she was new at the job and also young, and said she did not have any diseases.  Even though she said that, due to the nature of her profession, I am still worried.

Oh no, it's actually a NEW encounter since my old one.  I don't think my old stomach flu was related to herpes, I think it was just a flu, thank god.  But yeah, the reason why I didn't update my old thread was because this was a new incident.  I posted the thread right when I came home.  Thanks a lot for your help though.

Have you ever been tested for herpes to know your own status?

It's been a bit now since the encounter right? You only had a stomach flu and no obvious genital symptoms correct?

it's most helpful to us if you just keep putting new questions/comments/updates in your original post instead of making a new one each time. saves us from having to go find your prior posts so that we can give you the best response possible - thanks for your future cooperation with this!

We don't have stats as to how likely you are to contract hsv1 genitally from oral sex. Obviously it happens but it's still not the preferred area of infection and it also depends on your own hsv1 status. Also obviously the person giving you the oral sex would also have to actually have hsv1 orally too.
