Outbreak from UV RAYS

I have HSV-1 Genitally. I have found my trigger to be UV rays regardless whether I wear panties in the tanning bed or not. Although I have given up tanning in tanning beds, I am about to move to Florida. I know I will be spending lots of time in the sun and on the beaches. My question is if I applied a SPF sunscreen to the areas where my outbreak occurs will it give me some added protection? I know Chapstick with SPF blocks UV rays on the lips of people with HSV-1 orally, I'm just curious if it works genitally too? If not what precautions should I take to avoid outbreaks while living in Florida?

I'd confirm that it's all only hsv1 going on.

i wouldn't apply suntan lotion to your inner labia or anywhere like that.
