Peace of mind

Peace of mind

Ok so I have this bump that came up on my left labia, actually first my left labia was swollen and then there was this small pea sized bump. The first day I squeezed it until it popped and just a little pus and blood came out. After that the swelling went down and things returned to normal. However within about 2 days the spot is back. I ran a fever one day before I squeezed it. The swollen area is red, and hurts when I touch it. I also have, what my doctor told me today was just a swollen lymph node near my groin higher on my left side. I went to the doctor today and he of course ran the test for herpes, and sent me home with some antibotics, and asked I come back in a week. I have only been in one relationship (for five years) and we don't see other people, and we also do not have sex. I find it a little hard to believe that I have herpes but just as with anything else I'm looking for a little peace of mind until I get some results. I researched a lot, which of course makes things almost worse, I'm thinking it may be more of an abcess (abscess) or bartholin's gland cyst. Anyways if you know anything and can help I'd appreciate it!

There isn't a way for us to know what the bump is.  If you have never had oral, vaginal, or anal sex then you know this isn't herpes going on.  You both should be tested though prior to sex to know your status for all STD's and including a type specific igg test for HSV.
