Penis Pain

I am a 30 year old male. I had protected and unprotected sex with a female partner 3 months ago. 35 days later the tip of my penis became red and burned when I peed as this lasted for 3 weeks.  Then I began to feel pain in my thighs that still lasts ( the pain started after I read thigh pain as a symptom of herpes, been in pain and freaking out since ). And when the thigh pain started and to this day it feels like some one kicked me in the head of my penis. Doesnt hurt to pee, it just hurts in general.

I am going to my doctor after christmas to get tested as 3 months will have passed.

I am positive for Herpes Oral ( not sure if its 1 or 2 )

1.)  Having Oral herpes for the past 10 years help suppress my symptoms of my genital herpes?

2.)  Can a first out break last up to 3 months or longer?

3.)  I have no blisters ( but after reading sounds like I might have them in my urethra ).

4.)  And the symptoms that I have listed each last that long?

5.)  When having an outbreak can symptoms come and go? such as leg pain that lasts a day or two then goes away for a few days then comes back?

I would like to know as much as possible before I go to the dr. so we can identify and treat this properly.

I'd be thinking other causes than herpes at this point. did you go for basic std and urine testing at all yet?  you've had pain for 3 weeks, you should've pursued basic testing long before now.

I am going for testing after Christmas.


Can leg pain last this long if it is herpes?  And does leg pain only happen when you are having a break out?

And having oral herpes.  Could that of suppressed my genital herpes?

it's best if you are seen sooner rather than later. at this point you need a proper work up done and some basic testing.

The doc does not have any openings till after christmas.


But do those symptoms of herpes come and go? or only when you are having an outbreak?

they come and go but for several days or a week or so at a time you'd have symptoms and then a break of a few weeks before they started.
