I have had the herpes simplex virus for many years and have had many cold sore/fever blister "breakouts" over the years.
My most recent "breakout" became a blister on my top lip. As usually happens, I pierced the blister with a sterile needle for drainage. A very slight amount of drainage occurred. The following day, the blister was just as noticeable as before, so I attempted drainage again. Nothing much really came out, but the blister still remains on my lip after about 5 weeks of attempting vitamin E creams, Denovir(a herpes simplex prescription) etc...I've had scarring from prior breakouts, but never a blister that doesn't disappear on my lip. I'm at a loss as to what my options are to make the blister "scar" disappear. Any attempted coverage(lipstick) does not hide the blister. Any information and ideas on treatment would be appreciated. Thank you.
