Pimple like thing on penis shaft

This morning I woke up and on my penis shaft by the head of my penis there was a white-head, pimple like thing there.  I popped it and it popped just as acne would on my face.  I then squeezed it just a bit and some blood came out, but not much.  Now it is pink there (likely due to the popping and slight squeezing I assume).  There was only one mark there.  The popping, which admittedly was probably not advised, was very easy with no struggle or anything, the whitehead essentially wiped away.  I believe this is just acne and fine.  What do you think?  Thanks for your time.

It sounds like folliculitis. But if it was odd enough to worry you, be seen by a doctor. If they suspect herpes, they can swab it and you get a prompt answer.
