Pimples on upper inner thigh

For about 3 months now i have had three recurring pimple looking bumps on my inner upper thigh, near the fold. At the time, I had been fooling around with a new guy, there was genital contact but no intercourse. He had just gotten out of a serious long term relationship. I had some itching a month into our fooling around and I assumed some bacteria on his hands has caused a yeast infection. I took a product similar to monistat or whatever and the itching stopped with no further problems. Some time later these bumps occurred for about 2 weeks then disappeared then reappeared for a week. I put a combination of acne medication and neosporin on them and they dissapeared. Now, they're back and i'm concerned that it is herpes. I had a cold w/ a fever somewhere around that period but once I was given meds it cleared right up, also, multiple people had similar symptoms at the time. Because of this guys history and my virginity i had assumed i was clear and now im not positive. I am in fact a runner and I do excercise everyday but I had not in the past 3 weeks and they are back. The pimples are not painful and don't make "full" white heads, nothing really comes out of them. Could it be razor burn (though i don't shave out that far...), pimples, or something else? please help.

This does not sound like herpes. Herpes does not come and go like that, nor does it clear from using acne meds / neosporin.

Follow-up with your medical provider or a dermatologist.
