Please Help, having sleepless nights!

I'm having an absolutely terrible week, and now I think I might have Herpes!

2 weeks ago I came back off a holiday and started to get a little under the weather with a sore throat, which I am prone too.. I usually get a bit ill after flying. A week goes by and it's fine. That weekend on the Sunday afternoon I decide to wax my more intimate areas, something I have done before but not in a while.  I sleep with a new partner on the Sunday evening (a very close friend of mine) and at 3 am on the Monday morning I have full blown influenza and tonsillitis. I also notice that the areas I waxed are uncomfortable, I grab a mirror and where I had waxed was completely covered in blisters! Full on sores! I went to the doctor and explained and she has sent off a sample to see if it's herpes.

Does this mean I was dormant for years? Is it just waxing blisters? Did my friend give me the virus? I can't sleep or focus and the flu is still with me. Can anybody help?

Thanks for a quick response. I'm just concerned because the sores are incredibly painful, and they came about the time of my flu like symptoms.

It seems I do have the virus, which completely shocked my doctor! Is this my healthy and explorative sex life over?

I understand. Seems way to fast for this to be a primary outbreak.  The wide area is another red flag. I gues we have to wait for the results.

Hypothetically if it is, how would I soothe the area as it's very painful

Your symptoms came on way to fast and yout sore throat and tonsil  issues are not hsv related. This doesn't add up to a primary outbreak. Let us know your results
