Please advise amd HELP!

How long before IGG antibodies show up for an IGG test? My IGG was negativebut IGM positive. And my doctor said its because i have a recent infection, and IGG hasn't picked up on it. However, i havent had sex in 6 months, and before that, was having sex with my huband of 4 years and neither one of us have cheated. So theres really no way i could have cought it "recently" in these past 5 years? SOOO CONFUSED!
