Please help- is it herpes?

four days ago, my partner of the past year and i had sex. i have no had sex with anyone else and neither has he (i know this so dont ask). the next day i started noticing what i thought to be ingrown hairs caused by a new razor and i ran the bumps that were on the right side of my outer labia next to my thigh.  the day after that i woke up and the entire labia had swollen up and there were other bumps around my genitals.  today I woke up with a cold sore and there are a lot more hard, tender, and white bumps all around my labia and on the mound just above my clitoris.  the bumps i had squeezed in the first place r kind of crusted over and are like craters now.  i squeezed at one to see if pus would come out and there really isn't, just the top came off (dont worry i'm not doing it again i just wanted to know). what could this be?  

if it sounds like herpes, could it have been dormant in either my partner or i for a long time and it just showed up now? he hasn't said anything to me about experiencing the same symptoms.

you need to be seen today and get a proper work up done. this could be many things but you need seen promptly for proper testing.

also i wanted to add that there are a couple small clusters of blisters-like things, thank you for your advice
