This is not a question. This is a reply to the multiple posts I have read on this site
regarding testing for HSV2. After dating a guy for several months, he finally broke down
and told me he had HSV2. I freaked out and went to the doctor for tests the next week.
I tested HSV1 (oral, cold sores) positive, HSV2 negative (not detected) on early detection IgG.
An IgM was run as well indicating a high positive result. The counselor I talked with said that it
was very unlikely that the HSV1 from childhood would produce such a high positive now
and that it probably meant a recent infection of HSV2 and that I would have to wait 90 -
120 days to have another HSV2 IgG run.
For 3 1/2 months, I have thought that I surely was infected. I have lost weight, couldn't sleep,
almost could think of littleLittle noses decongestant Little tummys else other than I was now HSV2 positive. I have brokenBroken bone Broken or knocked out tooth out in hives
and psoriasis all over my body and every shaving bump from bikini prep, tingle or itch has set
me over the edge. This week I got the final results. HSV2 IgG negative.
I want everyone who reads this to believe everything on this site about the IgM . . . . do not
for any reason submit yourself to this especially if you already know you have HSV1. I
have survived 100 + days of agony and if I can do any good from my experience, I want to
tell my story. HSV1 reactivates during illness, stress, menstruation, etc. and can produce a
positive IgM at any time. And from other posts, an IgM is often falsely positive.
