Posible infection

Posible infection

Hi. The reason for my concern is because about a month ago I had sex with a girl, although I used protection while having penetration I did not when I recieved oral sex from her. She did not had a sore or a lession on her mouth at all, but a couple days later I started to feel an itch and noticed what seemed like a small ''bug bite''  on the shaft of my penis almost at the base, very close to the scrotum. At first I tried usung an jock itch spray, wich gave me intense pain and think it burned the skin, so I dicontinued using it. Later I tried with an anti fungal cream wich worked pretty good and seemed to cure the area, but Im worried because now Im noticing some rednes and irritation again, still on the shaft of my penis but mostly on the adjacent area of the scrotum. Im really starting to get worried now because Im not sure whether this is an infection or genital herpes. Its been a month since I had sex with that person and about 3 weeks sine I first noticed anything. What could this be?

Fungal infections can be diffficult to get rid of . You need to keep using the antifungal cream for the recommended amount of time, not just stop when the rash is gone. You can either follow up on this with your provider to get a proper diagnosis or even just try using the antifungal cream again for a full week after the symptoms are gone an dsee if you can kick this finally.
