My IgG result today was 43.9. Why is it so high?
the non-type specific testing cross reacts with a lot of other viruses too. we really don't recommend its use any more.
the combined testing isn't worthwhile. you actually don't know anything at all about your herpes status at this point. you could have hsv1, hsv2 , both or neither.
you will need to seek out type specific herpes igg blood testing for both hsv1 and hsv2.
