Positive for HSV1 and Negative for HSV2 at 6weeks

I tested positive at Quest for HSV1 with the range greater than 5 and got negative for HSV2 with the range less than 0.90 at 6th week of my exposure. I started getting cold sore and outbreaks from 5th week onwards. Can anyone please let me know my HSV2 can be positive at later time say at 3 months? Any one experienced like this?

your hsv1 will stay positive if the test picks up on it. even the best tests still miss 1 out of every 10 hsv1 infections unfortunately.
just repeat your hsv2 igg at 3 months post encounter to be sure of your status.

Thanks for the reply Grace.
You mean, at this early stage of testing I got positive for HSV1. So, HSV1 will be definitely positive even after 3 months?
HSV2 is currently negative at 6th week but could be positive or negative after 3 months?

testing at 6 weeks post encounter was far too early. we recommend you wait at least 3 months until testing.

if you have active symptoms, be seen for a proper exam.
