Possible Herpes without Any Symptoms, Besides Aches

Hello-

I've been reading through these threads like a mad person, but have been unable to find a solid answer.

I'm a male and I had unprotected oral (insertive and receptive) with two men about 3 weeks ago.
Since then, I have had zero of the standard symptoms (no blisters/lesions, no burning/tingling, no discharge).

About 5 days later, I had a cold/flu (lots of mucus, sneezing, fatigue, etc.) for about a week, and my joints began to ache (standard flu/cold in my opinion). I thought it was cold/weather related (cold and rainy winter here). Now two weeks later, my cold has completely dissipated, but I still have aches in my knees and top of my groin, near my pubic bone.

I had an STI/HIV test 11 days after the initial exposure and it came back negative (via blood work).
But I'm nervous that this wouldn't have been detected yet.

Any advice? Thanks!

It can be. That being said, it would be incredibly rare to have aches without ever experiencing lesions. What you have going on I am very confident finest isn't herpes. I would get a throat culture for std's like gonnerhia with your persistent sore throat. Most times it never causes symptoms bit better safe than sorry.

Thank you very much!
Just realised - i never mentioned a sore throat. Haven't really had one at all.
Sounds like this is stress related which suppresses your immune system and makes you more vulnerable to colds flu etc

Non of that are actual hsv symptoms. I don't suspect hsv would be the cause of your aches

Thank you @feelingundone! I've seen you post around this community before, and I really appreciate your response to my question.

I've read that joint pains around the groin could be HSV-related. Is this just a lessor symptom?
