Possible false positive

Just recently I tested positive for HSV-2. My husband tested negative. However, I was tested for all STD"s in October 08' and was negative for everything. I have not been with anyone but my husband. So how is it that I've tested positive for HSV-2. It was an Igg blood test. I've never had any outbreaks, or cold sores in my entire life. Please help!

can you call and get the results of both your herpes igg blood tests to post here?  all I need to see is the actual numeric results - ie hsv1 igg 4.3 and hsv2 igg .45 or whatever they are.

I recently took a comprehensive std panel and all tests were negative with the exception of my HSV 2 IgG test.  My results is a 2.13 which indicates I am positive for HSV 2.  I have been in a 12 year relationship and really never experienced any symptoms until recently, which prompted me to get tested.  My partner was tested in January 08 and his results were also positive and he claimed to have been tested twice since then and the results came back negative for HSV 2.  My question is, Is it possible my results are a false positve and should I retest?  My partner and I have recently ended our relationship and I have been celibate since.  However, I would like to move forward to another promising relationship and fear telling him I am HSV 2 positive.  But, I plan on disclosing this before we become serious.  Please help.
