Possible to see herpes sore 8 hours after sex?

Had sex with a high risk partner last night. Used a condom. Went to the bathroom just now and saw a red spot on my scrotum, which she had briefly licked. It's slightly sore to the touch.  No blisters. This is about 8 hours after the encounter.

It's not possible that this is herpes, right?  It's way too quick from what I've read, but I'm freaking out nonetheless.

More info - looks like the skin is broken. Where the skin is broken there no scab.  I touched it with kleenex and there is no blood, but a little colorless dampness.  Not scabbed over.  There's been no pain or irritation.  Doesn't quite seem like a cut because there's no bleeding/scabbing.

Any thoughts on what it could be?  As I have not seen blisters and it is so soon after sex I doubt it's herpes.  But I am a little worried it could be something else.
