Possibly a herpes

I still feel stupid about something that happened 24 nights ago. I had been seeing this older girl and we had sex but afterward I felt stupid for getting caught up in the moment knowing she had genital herpes. That night she did not have any symptoms she said gets them only a few times a year seeing she's had them for 10 years. I'm just paranoid after the doc thought there's only a 2% chance of me getting them after his physical exam. Tonight after masturbating dry I noticed a small area of dry skin. I haven't had much of sexual ambitions since that night but lately it's starting to come back. I'm just worried this is a late symptom. I haven't had any physical symptoms appear besides this one. Help please?

Yes that's right, average time is 4 days from infection, most within 10.

You mean by within a week as in within a week of exposure correct?

I think it is a natural response to an irritation or possibly a fungal/bacterial infection that you are exacerbating in your mind owing to having had sex with this girl.

The transmission odds are more like 1 in 1,000 for a single episode.

You wouldn't really get a late symptom, but lesions within a week..
