Possibly herpes or infected follicles?

In the past few months I noticed about 5 small bumps right above My clitoris, they dont appear to be blisters, and they dont hurt or shoot out puss. Every sexual partner I have been with didnt have the Virus, but Im still worried about it. I went to the doctor and he said it could possibly be Folliculitus (folliculitis), or whatever thats called with the infected hair follicle, Im still a bit uneasy about it. But I have had no swollen nodes, no fever, the lesions havent popped, and it doesnt itch or burn down there. I have to go get tested just to be sure, but Id like some input, because Im very nervous.

if they've been there for a few months, they certainly are not due to herpes.

I figured as much, because herpes are supposed to go away and come back. Thank you for your help
